Keeping up on your trucks regular maintenance is key to keeping your truck in peak condition. Regularly scheduled oil changes based on your trucks drivers’ manual are recommended – but there are other signs drivers should pay attention too:
- Oil Quality: using a low quality oil may save you a few dollars upfront, however it is likely to do more damage in the long run. A high quality oil will last longer, keep your engine nicely lubricated, and improve your trucks performance.
- Driving Conditions: severe weather (on either end of the spectrum) can impact your trucks oil performance. Check your oil consistency when driving through extreme heat or cold, if your oil is thinning out or increasing in thickness – its time to visit a Metro Truck Service Centre.
